The Father and Son Camp is held annually in Oakland, Illinois at Walnut Point State Park. The Millers endeavor to provide a spiritually refreshing weekend for fathers and sons in the outdoors. It is their mutual burden to see the hearts of fathers and sons turned towards each other and they endeavor to encourage that bond through exciting outdoor adventures and inspiring ministry throughout the weekend. The annual Father and Son Camp unofficially began in 1995 with three fathers and three sons. Over the years it has grown to camps hosting more than 450 people.

Statement of Purpose

-For fathers and sons who are not saved to come to know Jesus Christ as Savior.
-To provoke young men to have a heart for service.
-To give young men and their fathers a vision for authentic Christian manhood.
-To make those uncomfortable who know Christ and are not doing much for Him.
-To restore the hearts of fathers to their families.
-To combine inspiring ministry and outdoor adventures to create lasting memories.
-To tie the heartstrings of fathers and sons and to heal their broken relationships.
-To encourage fathers and sons to get busy doing something for Jesus Christ.

Statement of Faith

The Word of God is our rule for faith and practice. All aspects of our ministry are founded upon God’s Word and are consistent with the Philadelphia Confession of Faith. Believing the above and not diminishing the importance of holding to sound doctrine, we hold that the basis for felloship between believers is not doctrine, but a mutual faith and love in Jesus Christ.

Application and Fees

If you would like to attend, please mail in the application form available on this website along with a $20.00 application fee per family. Beginning this year, you are also responsible for making your own camping or hotel arrangements. Please visit the Application page for recommendations.

The Father and Son Camp is funded by generous donations. If God gives you a burden to help defray our expenses, you may mail your donation with the application form or place it in the donation box at the camp. We are planning another exciting event and hope to see you there!
